I have a valid drivers licence as well as a Professional Drivers Permit. The Landrover has a valid Roadworthy Certificate which is renewable annually and I have a valid operators card. Adequate Public Liability Insurance and Passenger Liability Insurance is in place. During a lifetime of living in Zululand I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the Zulu Kingdom, which includes the Zulu language and the age old customs and culture of the Zulu folk in rural areas. There are a number of Zulu Cultural Villages which are worthwhile visiting, of which Shakaland near Eshowe is world renown. Being a keen birder I have identified some excellent birding sites and trails, hitherto not frequented by the birding fraternity. There are a number of other popular birding sites such as the Ngoye Forest which is the habitat of the much sought after Green Barbet, (Woodward's Barbet) and uMthunzini where the rare Palmnut Vulture is found. Visiting Zululand game reserves has always been an exciting pastime of mine, in particular when viewing the Big Five (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo) in the world renown uMfolozi/Hluhluwe Game reserve.
